Dayna's exposure to photography started out with a point-and-shoot camera at age nine-thus the adventure began! During high school she began to work with black and white film and started developing negatives and prints in the darkroom. Learning to love the freedom, pleasure and satisfaction that comes from producing your own photographs start to finish.
When Dayna graduated high school she became a photographer at a studio in Layton. Learning the aesthetics of lighting and posing, she became a skilled studio photographer. College provided additional studying of photography and perfecting work in the darkroom. The thrill of capturing everyday things and turning them into pieces of art was a challenge and adventure that proved to be rewarding.
After college, Dayna photographed high school seniors at a Murray studio. She then became the Photo Editor for a Salt Lake souvenir company for nearly five years. Using valuable skills learned in studio photography, Dayna took product and sports photos and began branching out into landscape photography as well.
In 2000 she bought a Canon EOS-3 and began shooting portraits, weddings and landscapes on her own. In 2005 a digital EOS-20D was added to the line. Now film, digital, or a combination of both mediums can be offered to clients to best suit their preferences, needs and budget. Customized packages are available-please inquire.
